Folders
Each day your child will bring home a folder labeled “Finishing Work”.
Finishing work is defined as work that was not completed in class. Any work completed at home MUST be returned the next day or the consequence will be a mark in your child’s folder. Your child will receive assignment sheets that will go inside the Finishing Work folder. These sheets are for writing daily class work assignments. Math assignments are routinely sent home Monday through Thursday. Even if there is no homework, we will still write what we did in class that day. This will keep you informed as to what we are studying at school.
Also in the “Finishing Work” folder will be a discipline sheet. It looks similar to a calendar with our rules on the bottom. The sheet will last for an entire six weeks. If an infraction occurs, the teacher will initial the day of the incident and put the letter of the rule involved. Three or more marks in a week will result in no forty-five minute reward recess on Friday. We encourage you to look at the discipline sheet nightly to check on the behavior of your child at school. The Discipline Sheet will need to be signed on Friday and returned on Monday.
“Friday Folders” will include graded papers, notes, and flyers on Fridays. Please keep the contents, but send the folder back signed on Monday.
